Moss appointed chair of NAM health disparities Interest Group

Margaret Moss

Professor Margaret Moss, PhD, JD, RN, FAAN, FADLN, enrolled member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation with Dakhóta lineage, was appointed to serve as chair of the National Academies of Medicine (NAM) Interest Group on Health of Populations/Health Disparities. Moss, Katherine R. & C. Walton Lillehei Chair in Nursing Leadership, serves as associate dean for Policy, Access, and Ethics.

NAM Interest Groups were established to bring together members from a variety of disciplines to voluntarily coalesce to enrich understanding and engage in dynamic conversations on pertinent multi-disciplinary scientific and policy topics. 

As chair, Moss is responsible for fostering the engagement of members and overseeing the activities of the Interest Group, including planning a session at the NAM Annual Meeting. Moss will serve as chair for a two-year term.
