NLN honors school for climate change leadership

The National League for Nursing (NLN) recognized the University of Minnesota School of Nursing for leading the way on climate change initiatives.

The school received the recognition at the 2024 NLN Education Summit, with Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN, NLN president and CEO, presenting the honor to Susan Gross Forneris, PhD, RN, CNE, CHSE-A, FAAN, associate dean for Academic Programs.

In announcing the recognition, NLN stated that school’s “pioneering efforts in education, curriculum, research, and outreach help to set a standard for schools and organizations, in nursing and other health professions to follow.”
