The University of Minnesota School of Nursing is cohosting the 48th annual Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) Conference in Minneapolis on Feb. 28-March 2.

The University of Minnesota School of Nursing was well-represented at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Doctoral Education Conference held in January in Naples, Florida.

Lyla June Johnston, PhD, delivered the 4th annual Planetary Health Lectureship Remembering our Ecological Purpose: Indigenous Food Systems and the Promise of Homo Sapiens, which detailed Indigenous food systems and advocated for a mind shift to better tend the land.

Whipple’s  community-engaged research project is Understanding the Relationship Between Systemic Racism and Sedentary Behavior in Black Older Adults with Type 2 Diabetes.

The book, published by Sigma, explores 13 competencies for population-based, entry-level public health nursing, providing readers with an understanding of the skills and knowledge needed for public health nursing practice.

The University of Minnesota School of Nursing celebrated the graduation of students in the Master of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and PhD programs and the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing Master of Arts in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate programs at a commencement ceremony Dec. 15 at Northrop.
