Ashley Walker, DNP, ACNP-BC, CPNP-AC, is a clinical assistant professor in the School of Nursing. She is a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Walker aims to provide the highest quality instruction to both undergraduate and graduate nursing students by providing current knowledge of practice, mentoring and advising, and fostering interdisciplinary and professional learning experiences. The three core tenants which shape her personal philosophy of teaching include creativity, diversity of ideas and collaborative interactions. Dr. Walker believes in educating, inspiring, and motivating her students. In addition, she believes in lifelong learning and continually improving her own professional educator skills.
