Jovan Gwon, PhD, RN, FIAAN

Dr. Gwon is a PhD-prepared nurse scientist focused on addressing nicotine addiction among underserved young adults with special health needs, particularly those living in rural communities with limited access to cessation support. His research integrates interdisciplinary and translational approaches to develop innovative, patient-centered, and humanized interventions that promote nicotine- and vape-free behaviors. Through this work, Dr. Gwon aims to advance health equity and strengthen the health and well-being of rural America. He continues to practice as a registered nurse, providing care to adolescent and young adult patients across diverse clinical settings.
