Purpose
The Leadership in Health Information Technology for Health Professionals Certificate Program provides health professionals in-depth education on interprofessional informatics, system design and analysis, databases, consumer informatics, clinical decision support, knowledge representation and population health informatics.
Upon completion of the certificate program, participants will have the knowledge to develop and teach program curriculum for health informatics as well as lead the successful deployment and use of health information technology in health systems. Program assignments will be customized to align with a student’s professional field such as nursing, public health, medicine, pharmacy and lab and other.
Students in this certificate program take the same classes as the Doctor in Nursing Practice students, BSN-to-DNP course section. All courses are offered fully on-line.
Requirements / Credits
The certificate requires the completion of 16 credits of graduate course work. Students may be able to petition out of 40 percent of credits, based on courses taken elsewhere and/or request credit for relevant work experience.

Tuition
