Academic/Practice Partnerships

Partner Practice

The School of Nursing increased its academic/practice partnerships aimed at improving nursing practice, education and patient outcomes to 10 with the announcement of two new collaboratories, all aimed at improving nursing practice, education and patient outcomes. The two newest collaboratories are:

  • Allina Health
  • Hennepin Healthcare

These nursing think tanks serve as incubators for creativity and innovation and engage nursing faculty, clinicians, staff and students in shared goals and vision.

The School of Nursing’s first academic/ practice partnership was established in 2018 with M Health Fairview and is nationally recognized for its innovation. Additional collaboratories include Essentia Health, Minneapolis VA Health Care System, Children’s Minnesota, Faith Community Nurse Network, PrairieCare, Mayo Clinic and Minnesota Hospital Association.
