Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) is the honor society of nursing and Zeta Chapter is the official University of Minnesota STTI chapter.

About Zeta Chapter

The University of Minnesota's Zeta Chapter was formed on March 12, 1934 and is the fifth chapter established at Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society Membership in Zeta Chapter provides opportunities to connect and engage with other nurse leaders, learn and grow with access to education and publications, and advance and elevate your career with awards, grants, and scholarships.

Zeta Chapter members are nurses who are:

  • Interested in promoting excellence in practice, research, and education
  • Excelling in leadership and scholarship
  • Always learning and developing professionally
  • Working toward the optimal health of all people
  • Desiring to connect with like-minded nurses in the state and around the world

Membership

Applications for membership in the Zeta Chapter of STTI is open to School of Nursing faculty, students, and alum. Nurse leaders working throughout Minnesota are also welcome to apply to join Zeta. Explore how to apply.

Events

Zeta members connect through participation in twice monthly nursing salons.

Nurses Who Read Book Club is open to members of Zeta Chapter and Chi-at-Large Chapter. The book club meets approximately four to five times per year, and completion of the book selections is not required for participation.

Grants

Grant Awards support members who seek to support STTI's mission and are intended to cover project related costs. Grants are available to support research, evidence-based practice, and travel to advance and elevate your nursing leadership knowledge. Learn more about Zeta Chapter grants.
