School names 5 endowed chairs, professors

The School of Nursing announced the appointment of five endowed chairs and professors. Professor Margaret P. Moss, PhD, JD, RN, FAAN, was named a Katherine R. & C. Walton Lillehei Chair in Nursing Leadership. Associate Professor Rozina Bhimani, PhD, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE, CRRN, Professor Niloufar Hadidi, PhD, APRN, ACNS-BC, FAHA, and Associate Professor Kristine Talley, PhD, RN, CNP, FGSA, were named Long Term Care Professors in Nursing. Associate Professor Anne Chevalier McKechnie, PhD, RN, was named a School of Nursing Foundation Research Professor.

To ensure the School of Nursing will remain a magnet for top-tier leadership, the Development team is taking steps, well before Dean Connie White Delaney, PhD, RN, FAAN, FACMI, FNAP, announces plans to retire, to endow a dean’s leadership chair. 

Inaugural recipients of the Elva Walker Spillane Philanthropic Leadership Award named 

Carolyn Iverson Schroeder, BSNE ‘55, and Jeannine Bayard, BSN ‘71, were named the inaugural recipients of the Elva Walker Spillane Philanthropic Leadership Award, which was created to recognize examples of a life committed to the betterment of others.
