Caroly Shumway, executive director for the Center for Behavior and Climate, delivered the keynote lecture at the DNP Enhancement & Enrichment Programming Day. After the keynote, which also served as the 5th annual Planetary Health Lectureship, a panel discussed climate change and nursing.

The school celebrated the graduation of students in the Master of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice and PhD programs at a commencement ceremony Dec. 13 at Northrop.

In December, seven University of Minnesota School of Nursing faculty members presented at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Transform Conference. They led poster presentations and podium discussions on how they’re transforming curriculum with virtual reality, global immersion programs, regenerative teaching strategies and more.

Doctor of Nursing Practice students had an opportunity to deepen their understanding of global health policy during a visit to the United Nations Headquarters in November.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing students had opportunities to connect with the school’s Nursing Collaboratories, which were offering internships, job opportunities and career insights at an event during February’s Career Month.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing students partnered with Wayzata Public Schools to complete vision screenings for 4,425 Wayzata students.
