Wilson selected as next ONS president

Clinical Assistant Professor Ryne Wilson, DNP, RN, OCN, CNE, was selected to serve as the next Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) president. Wilson began his term as president-elect in December and transitions to ONS president in May 2026. 

“Ryne has been a steadfast champion of ONS, and his commitment to our mission is evident in his years of service, advocacy for patients and the oncology nursing profession, and meaningful contributions to advancing the field,” says ONS President Jessica MacIntyre, DNP, MBA, APRN, NP-C, AOCNP. “As ONS builds on more than five decades of progress, I’m confident that he will guide the organization with purpose, vision and unwavering commitment to the future of oncology nursing.”

Wilson has served as a director-at-large on the ONS Board of Directors since 2024 and held multiple volunteer roles in the Southeast Minnesota and Metro Minnesota chapters. An oncology nurse for nearly a decade, Wilson has published nationally and internationally on cancer nursing, focusing on environmental health and cancer care. A committed health policy advocate with ONS and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Wilson has spoken at regional and national forums on policy issues affecting cancer care. He was named to the 2025 class of 40 Under 40 in Cancer by the Association of Value-Based Cancer Care.
