Biography
Bio
Dr. Lisa Martin Rennicke obtained her Master's and Doctoral degrees from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. As an enrolled member of the Lac Du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, Dr. Martin Rennicke has a strong commitment to increasing representation of Native Americans in nursing. She has completed a sabbatical focused on "Indigenization" - incorporating Indigenous worldviews into nursing education as a means to reduce health disparities and support Native American nursing students. Dr. Martin Rennicke has served as a nursing diversity and inclusivity consultant, providing an Indigenous perspective to initiatives aimed at promoting health equity and a culture of health. With experience as a public health nurse, clinical educator, nursing supervisor, and project manager in interdisciplinary programs, Dr. Martin Rennicke hopes to contribute to developing a more diverse nursing workforce. A fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, she is passionate about supporting the School of Nursing's mission and transforming nursing education to be more inclusive.
