Alice and Gale W. Perry Scholarship

Established in 1965 by the late Gale Perry, who wished to award an annual scholarship to a deserving nursing student.

Alva Wipperman Queneau Memorial Scholarship

Established by the late Roland Queneau in memory of his beloved wife, Alva Wipperman Queneau ('24 BSN), this scholarship is intended to help recruit and retain promising full-time nursing students.

Beatrice Lofgren DeLue Scholarship

Established by the late Beatrice Lofgren DeLue, ('34 BSN, '59 Med), this scholarship is awarded to current Minnesota resident nursing students with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Carolina and Margaret Benson Scholarship

Established by the late Margaret Benson ('34 BSN), in memory of her mother, this scholarship is awarded to current students with a minimum 3.0 GPA and enrolled for at least 10 credits.

Clareen Wilson Nyquist Scholarship

Established in memory of Clareen Wilson Nyquist by her husband, Jeremy Nyquist, and her daughter, Mary Nyquist Koons (’76 BSN) who all graduated from the University of Minnesota. It supports undergraduate or professional students who will enhance the diversity of the student body within the School of Nursing and who demonstrate financial need and academic merit.

Edna and Myron Allen Scholarship

Established by Edna ('30 BSN) and Myron Allen, now both deceased, this scholarship is awarded to students interested in working with medically under-served populations.

Eisenmenger Scholarship in Nursing

Granted to nursing students who demonstrate achievement and have financial need.

George and Dadee Reilly Nursing Scholarship

George and Dadee Reilly created this fund in 2012 to support undergraduate and master degree seeking students in the School of Nursing who demonstrate academic merit and financial need.

Gene Taylor Nursing Scholarship

Established by Eugenia Taylor ('49 BSN, '55 MS) to support full-time undergraduate or graduate students, that will promote a diverse student body, with preference given to students who have demonstrated financial need and provide evidence of community service.

Grace B. Dayton Scholarship

Established in 1964 by Grace B. Dayton, who served as a charter member of the School of Nursing Foundation, this scholarship is awarded to nursing students with demonstrated ability. In memory of his mother, Bruce Dayton expanded this scholarship in recent years.

Jane Schaller Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is endowed by David Schaller to honor the memory of Jane Schaller and to give back to the University of Minnesota and the nursing profession through assisting students who are pursuing a career in nursing. Particularly those students who are interested in clinical nursing and serving in oncology and/or hospice or who have a research focus in oncology.

Jennie Siebold Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to nursing students with scholastic aptitude and demonstrated need.

Katharine Densford Dreves Scholarship

Established in honor and memory of Katharine J. Densford Dreves, the School's distinguished director from 1930-1959, this scholarship is presented to qualified nursing students who demonstrate superior scholastic achievement or promise.

Lucy D. Enos Scholarship

This scholarship was created by a gift that the late Lucy D. Enos bequeathed in 2011. It supports undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Nursing who are pursuing BSN, MS, DNP, or PhD degrees.

Margaret Caldwell Memorial Scholarship in Nursing

Established in memory of Margaret Caldwell by her children and friends in 1958, this scholarship is awarded to students with financial need, demonstrated ability and whose personal attributes and professional promise are suited to the field of nursing.

Mary Hensler Spurzem Scholarship

Established by the family in memory of their beloved mother, Mary Hensler Spurzem ('23 BSN), this scholarship was created for nursing students with demonstrated need.

Mary Vandell Schneider Scholarship

Created by her family to honor the late Mary Vandell Schneider ('51 BS in PHN), this scholarship is given to current nursing students from greater Minnesota. Preference is given to students from Eveleth, MN or the Iron Range.

Nursing Alumni Scholarship

Awarded through tribute, memorial and annual contributions received from alumni and friends to support students with the potential for contributing to the nursing profession and who provide evidence of community service and leadership.

Patricia A. Robertson Scholarship

Patricia A. Robertson ('68 MS), created this fund in 2012 to support full-time undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Nursing who have financial need.

Robert L. Karlstrand Scholarship

Robert L. Karlstrand is a 1973 graduate of the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. He created this fund in 2014 to support full-time students in the School of Nursing who are undergraduates of senior status in the BSN program or professional students in the MN program.

Rosina Hanslick Nursing Scholarship

Established by the late Rosina Hanslick to support deserving students with demonstrated need, preference is given to applicants from Redwood, Nicollet, Brown or Sibley counties in Minnesota, the areas where Rosina Hanslick served as a registered nurse.

Ruth Thomas Brinker Scholarship

Established by the late Admiral Russell C. Brinker in memory of his wife, Ruth Thomas Brinker ('30 BSN), this scholarship is awarded to students interested in working with medically under-served populations.

School of Nursing Endowed Scholarship for Inclusivity

The School of Nursing Endowed Scholarship for Inclusivity is intended to support students who choose to pursue careers in nursing and increase the representation of diverse viewpoints at the School of Nursing. Started by Jeannine Bayard, who is committed to helping future generations of nurses not only realize their potential, but also reach beyond socioeconomic barriers to achieve all that is possible through a career in nursing. The Scholarship is open to contributions by all who are interested in advancing inclusivity and diversity in nursing education.

School of Nursing Foundation Leadership Scholarship

Awarded through proceeds from the School of Nursing Foundation's annual benefit jewelry sales. Based upon the applicant's description of outstanding accomplishments and career goals, supports two bright and promising students (one undergraduate and one graduate) with minimum GPA's of 3.5.

Suzanne Doehring Nursing Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Suzanne Doehring ('60 BSN) who passed away as a young woman in a tragic accident, this scholarship is awarded to nursing students with demonstrated ability.
