Biographical Summary
Dr. Cynthia Bradley is an Assistant Professor and Director of Simulation at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. With a PhD in Nursing from Indiana University, she is a dedicated nurse educator, researcher, and simulationist working to reimagine nursing education. Dr. Bradley's expertise lies in integrating simulation throughout nursing curricula and preparing faculty to use evidence-based teaching methods. She currently leads the Big 10 Practice-Ready Nursing Initiative, a $1.3 million grant-funded project exploring the use of immersive virtual reality and structured clinical preceptorship to better prepare nursing students for the workforce.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bradley has been committed to advancing nursing education through innovative teaching strategies and rigorous research. Her work focuses on developing and assessing faculty competence in reflective debriefing techniques, particularly the Debriefing for Meaningful Learning method. As a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), she has presented nationally and internationally on simulation in nursing education. Dr. Bradley is actively involved with professional organizations like the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and the National League for Nursing (NLN), contributing to initiatives that prepare nurse educators to use debriefing effectively across all teaching and learning environments.
