Biographical Summary
Erica Schorr, PhD, RN, is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota and Chair of the Adult and Gerontological Health Cooperative. Her research focuses on developing and testing interventions that promote physical activity, reduce sedentary behavior, and improve function and quality of life for individuals with coronary and peripheral artery disease. Schorr has expertise in utilizing mobile health technologies and behavioral strategies to support the adoption and maintenance of healthy behaviors for managing chronic conditions and reducing cardiovascular disease risk. She is a Fellow of the American Heart Association (AHA) and has led the development of several influential AHA scientific statements, including calls for using mobile health interventions as a top priority for cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment.
