Clinical Associate Professor Barbara Peterson, PhD, PMHCNS, APRN, FNAP, was inducted into the National Academies of Practice.

Induction into the National Academies of Practice is an honor extended to those who have excelled in their profession and are dedicated to furthering interprofessional practice, scholarship and policy in support of interprofessional care.

“It is a tremendous honor to be inducted into the National Academies of Practice as a distinguished fellow in the Nursing Academy,” said Peterson. “My commitment to interprofessional care has been foundational in my teaching psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners and in my clinical care for children and adolescents with mental health problems.”

Class of 2022 Fellows were welcomed into the National Academies of Practice during the awards and induction ceremony in San Diego, California on March 5.
