Biographical Summary
Cassandra Narr is a family nurse practitioner with 18 years of experience in caring for all ages of patients within a diverse number of community and hospital settings while obtaining experiences in leadership, scholarship, and community research. Her expertise is in community pediatric and adolescent care, eating disorders, and college health. Previously, Cassandra served as an associate professor of undergraduate nursing at Winona State University focusing on family and child rearing nursing, community health, and simulation education.
Cassandra currently serves as a Clinical Instructor in the School of Nursing, bringing a wealth of clinical expertise to the classroom. Her practice includes providing acute care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. Cassandra is passionate about teaching and is currently conducting research on adolescent eating disorders, with several publications in the field. Known for her caring and accessible teaching style, Cassandra is deeply committed to helping her students succeed. She is skilled at adapting her instructional approaches to make course content engaging and impactful.
As an equity-minded nursing leader, Cassandra has thoughtfully integrated best practices related to cultural humility and health equity into the courses she coordinates and teaches. Her dedication to lifting up the voices of underserved and marginalized populations is truly inspiring, and she continues to challenge her students to consider the role they can play in addressing health disparities.
