Biography Summary

Dr. Monica Streater, DNP, APRN, CNM, holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Minnesota and certification as a Nurse Midwife. She has seven years of clinical experience in maternal-child health and practices midwifery at University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians). Dr. Streater has also taught in multiple clinical settings, including as a teaching assistant in our school for the mother-baby clinical rotations. She is actively engaged in professional organizations, notably the American College of Nurse Midwives. Dr. Streater is involved with quality improvement initiatives in maternal care, particularly focused on enhancing maternal and postpartum care for underserved communities. She is dedicated to enhancing maternal and postpartum care for marginalized populations.
