Biographical Summary
Nadeen Alshakhshir (she/her) PhD, RN, a first-year postdoctoral fellow of the President’s Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP). Nadeen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing PhD program in Spring 2024. Nadeen is an international postdoctoral fellow originally from Jordan where she completed her undergraduate nursing degree and palliative care nursing masters’ degree from the University of Jordan with a focus on nurses’ spirituality and spiritual care. Nadeen’s research program focuses on advancing positive health outcomes, through spirituality, for youth with cancer. Specifically, to advance science by describing early processes that awaken the spiritual identity and develop nurse-led interventions to foster youth’s spirituality to promote their health and well-being.
