Transcript request step-by-step help
We require that all official transcripts be sent to NursingCAS. We can not accept official transcripts sent directly to the University of Minnesota or to the School of Nursing. Applicants who previously attended the University of Minnesota (any campus) must send an official transcript to NursingCAS to complete their application. If possible, please send all transcripts electronically. Some institutions use Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse, so please make sure to check both sites when finding transcripts. We understand it’s tedious, and appreciate the time you put into this! Using the mailed paper transcript option should be limited to those institutions that do not offer electronic transcripts.
Directions for using Parchment
Parchment is a digital credential service used for sending official transcripts between institutions. You must create an account with Parchment before you can send any transcripts. Depending on your previous institution, you must pay a fee to order your transcripts.

Sending Transcripts by Mail
- Contact the registrar at each institution you attended and request one transcript be sent to NursingCAS.
- Provide the registrar with the following items:
- NursingCAS Transcript ID Form. Ask the registrar to attach it to your official transcripts. This form is not required but strongly recommended as it helps ensure your official transcripts are properly matched to your application. If you cannot use this form, make sure the registrar prints "NursingCAS" and your full NursingCAS ID number on the transcript before mailing it.
- Any school-specific forms required by the registrar.
- Any transcript fees required by the registrar.
- All information is needed by the registrar to properly identify you in the school's database.
- Any name changes.
- Your NursingCAS ID number.
Your registrar should mail your paper transcripts to the following address:
NursingCAS Transcript Processing Center
