Only one application is required for the Master of Nursing (MN) program. We encourage you to apply early and to complete and submit all components before the deadline for the program.
Applicants interested in University of Minnesota's MN program should apply through NursingCAS, an online, centralized application service for nursing programs.
To start your application
- Visit Nursing CAS and select your term of entry. Then click APPLY
- Click on “Create Account”
- Complete the required fields in order to start your application
Although some sections of the NursingCAS application are marked “optional” please follow the guidelines for the University of Minnesota requirements for MN applicants.

Application deadline information
* For an application to be reviewed all application documents must be verified in NursingCAS.
- Priority Deadline: December 17, 2025
- Applicants with a verified application at the priority deadline will receive priority admissions and scholarship consideration. Applicants can anticipate receiving a decision by early March.
- At this time, we are no longer accepting applications for Fall 2026. We will begin accepting applications for Fall 2027 in August.
