DNP students sweep poster at national women’s healthcare conference

The University of Minnesota claimed the top two spots in the Best Student Poster competition at the 21st Annual NPWH Premier Women’s Healthcare Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
Madalyn Carlin received first place for her poster Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Provider Toolkit with Clinical Assistant Professor Stephanie Delkoski, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC. Her project created a standardized evidence-based toolkit for providers to utilize when diagnosing PCSO and providing follow-up care to aid in standardizing care with a women’s health clinic.
Hanna Middlebrook received second place for Increasing the Rates of Pharyngeal and Rectal Site Testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea at an Adolescent Sexual Health Clinics with Clinical Assistant Professor Maria Ruud, DNP, APRN-C,-WHNP.
In total, five students in the School of Nursing’s Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner specialty were invited to present after a national committee review of their abstracts. The NPWH Premier Women’s Healthcare Conference annually attracts more than 750 students and practitioners.
