McMahon receives Distinguished Educator honor

Associate Professor Siobhan McMahon, PhD, MPH, APRN, GNP-BC, was named a Distinguished Educator by the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence (NHCGNE).
The designation recognizes educators with knowledge and skills needed to provide excellent care to older adults and competence to engage all learners and inspire positive attitudes toward older people. McMahon was honored at the NHCGNE’s conference in October.
McMahon is a School of Nursing Foundation Research Professor and co-director of the Center on Aging Science and Care. Her research focuses on promoting health and wellness across diverse older adult populations with fall risk.
