Rajamani, MDH earn honors at CSTE conference

Collaborative work accomplished by Associate Professor Sripriya Rajamani, PhD, MBBS, MPH, with colleagues at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) earned two awards at the 2024 Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) conference.

They were awarded the Presidential Priorities Award for Aligning Agency-Wide Data Modernization Strategy and Electronic Case Reporting for All Public Health Reportable Conditions: Perspectives from the Minnesota Department of Health.

The Presidential Priorities Award recognizes outstanding contributions to a priority identified by the CSTE president. This year it was elevating development of cohesive data modernization strategies for public health response across all domains.

Additionally, the team won the Best Poster Award in the surveillance/informatics category for Analyzing Free Text Notes in Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) Data: A Pilot Project at the Minnesota Department of Health.

CSTE represents public health epidemiologists working to advance public health policy and epidemiologic capacity.
