Delaney and Monsen were inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame.

University of Minnesota School of Nursing PhD student Mary Whipple has been awarded a $100,000 scholarship, the only such award bestowed this year by the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence.

Nursing Collaboratory, the award-winning academic-practice partnership between the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, Fairview Health Services and University of Minnesota Health, was among the co-signers of a call-to-action for clinicians to mobilize around planetary health published in the medical journal The Lancet.

Professor Susan O’Conner-Von, PhD, RN, was named a recipient of the 2018-2019 Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate and Professional Education by the University of Minnesota. This honor is awarded to exceptional candidates nominated by colleges in their quest to identify excellence in graduate and professional education.

Known as “the Great Minnesota Get-Together,” the Minnesota State Fair attracts nearly 2 million visitors during its 12-day run. While the pronto pups and butter sculptures may capture the headlines, this annual gathering provides an extraordinary opportunity for University researchers to engage with the public.

Faculty, students and community members filled McNamara Alumni Center April 12 for the school’s annual Nursing Research Day. The theme this year was Research, Innovation and Technology.

School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota received the 2017 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award today, a national honor recognizing US medical, dental, pharmacy, osteopathic, nursing and allied health schools that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. The school is one of just seven schools of nursing in the country to receive the award this year.
