Professor Margaret Moss, PhD, JD, RN, FAAN, FADLN, enrolled member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation with Dakhóta lineage, was appointed to serve as chair of the National Academies of Medicine (NAM) Interest Group on Health of Populations/Health Disparities. Moss, Katherine R. & C. Walton Lillehei Chair in Nursing Leadership, serves as associate dean for Policy, Access, and Ethics.

Building on more than two decades of leadership in nursing informatics, the University of Minnesota School of Nursing announced the evolution of its nursing informatics center into the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Nursing Informatics. 

Associate Professor Cynthia Bradley, PhD, RN, CNE, CHSE, ANEF, and Jennifer Eccles, PhD, RN, FAADN, Center for Nursing Equity and Excellence executive director, were named to the class of 2026 American Academy of Nursing Fellows. 

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students Celeste de los Santos, Rebekah Vonasek and Kerena Saltzgiver were named recipients of the Sandra R. Edwardson Award for Excellence in a Doctor of Nursing Practice Scholarly Project.

Jennifer Eccles PhD, RN, FAADN, received the Exceptional Leader Contribution State Representative Subscriber Award from the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) announced Dean Connie White Delaney, PhD, RN, FAAN, FACMI, FNAP, will co-chair its Emerging Technologies in Nursing Task Force. White Delaney is co-chairing the task force with Jerry Mansfield, PhD, vice president and system chief nursing executive at The University of Texas Medical Branch.
