May 1, 2023

Donna Bliss

Professor Donna Bliss, PhD, RN, FGSA, FAAN, was selected to be inducted as a 2023 Fellow of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society.

The honor recognizes the excellence of nurses who have made outstanding contributions within the WOC nursing profession, reflective of education, research, public policy and advocacy, membership engagement, and quality. The designation is based upon clinical expertise, leadership, scholarly experience, and contributions to the profession and health care systems. A WOCN Fellow contributes knowledge and expertise to shape the WOC nursing practice.

As a nurse researcher, Bliss has focused on the epidemiology, assessment and management of incontinence and incontinence associated skin problems such as irritant contact dermatitis due to fecal, urinary or dual incontinence. She has led clinical research in community, long-term care and hospital settings.

Bliss will be inducted at a ceremony during the WOCNext 2023 conference in June.
