The book, published by Sigma, explores 13 competencies for population-based, entry-level public health nursing, providing readers with an understanding of the skills and knowledge needed for public health nursing practice.

Clinical Professor Judith Pechacek, DNP, RN, CENP, was a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Academic Unit Service from the University of Minnesota. This is the inaugural year of the Awards for Academic Unit Service. 

Professor Niloufar Hadidi, PhD, APRN, ACNS-BC, FAHA, will receive the 2023 Mathy Mezey Excellence in Aging Award from the American Heart Association.

New resources for teaching introductory aging content are available from the Minnesota Northstar Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP), including toolkits created by School of Nursing faculty.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students Zachary Taylor and Emily Gorzycki were named recipients of the Sandra R. Edwardson Award for Excellence in Post-Baccalaureate DNP Scholarly Project.
