Hadidi receives AHA’s Mathy Mezey Excellence in Aging Award

Professor Niloufar Hadidi, PhD, APRN, ACNS-BC, FAHA, will receive the 2023 Mathy Mezey Excellence in Aging Award from the American Heart Association.
The purpose of this award is to recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves in promoting competence in caring for elderly cardiovascular or stroke patients through teaching, research, and/or practice.
Hadidi has been extensively engaged in leading grassroots activities for early recognition of stroke symptoms and increasing awareness for the profound physical, psychological and emotional challenges that stroke survivors face and is essential to recovery.
Hadidi will be presented with the 2023 Mathy Mezey Excellence in Aging Award at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions, which will take place from Nov. 11-13 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
