The University of Minnesota placed No. 16 out of more than 650 accredited nursing schools in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Programs ranking.
Sophomore students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program from the Minneapolis and Rochester campuses and first-year Master of Nursing students were welcomed into the nursing profession at a ceremony on Sept. 8 at Coffman Theater.
The School of Nursing announced the appointment of five endowed chairs and professors.
The University of Minnesota School of Nursing is welcoming eight new faculty to the school this fall, including two full professors. Additionally, two faculty are transitioning from clinical faculty to tenure-track faculty.
Professor Niloufar Hadidi, PhD, APRN, ACNS-BC, FAHA, will receive the 2023 Mathy Mezey Excellence in Aging Award from the American Heart Association.
Susan Gross Forneris, PhD, RN, CNE, CHSE-A, FAAN, joined the school as professor and associate dean for Academic Programs. Gross Forneris has been a nurse educator for more than 20 years and most recently served as director for Innovation in Education Excellence at the National League for Nursing (NLN).
