Christine Mueller, PhD, RN, FGSA, FAAN, professor, senior executive associate dean for Academic Programs and Long Term Care Professor in Nursing, was appointed to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Committee on the Quality of Care in Nursing Homes.

The Minnesota Northstar Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program collaborated with Saint Louis University’s Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gateway Workforce Enhancement Program for a virtual Interprofessional Geriatric Case Competition, with a University of Minnesota team being named the winner.

The Inaugural Interdisciplinary Aging Science and Care Lecture Series was held on October 3, where Professor Kuei-Min Chen, PhD, RN, FAAN, College of Nursing, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan spoke on "Developing and Translating Innovative Exercise Programs for Older Adults".
Kuei-Min Chen (PhD '00, MS '96) is an established gerontological health expert working to advance health and well-being of older adults in Taiwan and around the world. She is the 2018 recipient of the University’s GPS Alliance Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals.
