A new report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is being described as a piercing wake up call for a long-term care system in desperate need of an overhaul.

Christine Mueller, PhD, RN, FGSA, FAAN, professor and senior executive associate dean for Academic Programs, received designation as a Distinguished Educator in Nursing from the National Hartford Center for Gerontological Nursing Excellence (NHCGNE). She was also elected to the NHCGNE Board of Directors.

The Minnesota Northstar Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program collaborated with Saint Louis University’s Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gateway Workforce Enhancement Program for a virtual Interprofessional Geriatric Case Competition, with a University of Minnesota team being named the winner.
