The Inaugural Interdisciplinary Aging Science and Care Lecture Series was held on October 3, where Professor Kuei-Min Chen, PhD, RN, FAAN, College of Nursing, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan spoke on "Developing and Translating Innovative Exercise Programs for Older Adults".
Kuei-Min Chen (PhD '00, MS '96) is an established gerontological health expert working to advance health and well-being of older adults in Taiwan and around the world. She is the 2018 recipient of the University’s GPS Alliance Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals.

(Twin Cities Business, July 5) The University of Minnesota Nursing School is furthering its entrepreneurial direction by teaming up with a digital health business incubator to commercialize its prototype smartphone app for expectant parents of babies with heart defects.
Associate Professor Casey Hooke, PhD, APRN, CPON, PCNS-BC, was selected as a fellow to the American Academy of Nursing. The achievement is considered one of the highest honors in the nursing profession.
