The post-master’s DNP program is designed for nurses who have a master’s degree from a fully accredited institution in one of the following APRN specialties (nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, nurse midwife, and nurse anesthetist), or nursing informatics, nursing leadership and public health nursing are invited to pursue the post-master's route.
Nurses who have generalist or nursing education master's degrees are not qualified for admission into the post-master’s DNP option. These applicants may consider the DNP program, which provides opportunity to petition for substitution of applicable graduate coursework for some courses.
Length & Commitment: Flexible, mostly online
The Post-Master's DNP program length is flexible and can be customized to the unique needs of each student. The program coursework utilizes a hybrid model with a combination of one week of on campus attendance per semester with asynchronous online learning.
